This week I've been diving into some new programming learnings, specifically around React. I can't help but think how we coders were sold on an idea that isn't coming to fruition the way we wanted. Namely, a framework-managed front end would solve complexity and create better user experiences. And while React can certainly accomplish that in very specific contexts, it still so often feels like unnecessary complexity and, in many cases, a less satisfying user (and programmer) experience.
